Hall of Fame songwriter Mac McAnally, Coral Reefer guitarist and five time CMA Musician Of The Year returns to Dino’s Lounge in Ferndale, Michigan on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 to perform at a rare, private concert benefiting The Wounded Warrior Project.
Only 100 tickets are available at $125 and include an intimate concert in a Tiki setting, cocktails, Key West themed cuisine, gift bag, Silent Auction and other donation opportunities.
Doors open at 6:00 PM and Showtime is at 7:30 PM. Tickets for this special event are expected to sell out quickly and are on sale now at Dino’s Lounge by emailing dino@dinoslounge.com or calling 248-591-3466.
A longtime member of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer band, Mac is well known as one of the most successful songwriters of his era. The Nashville singer songwriter who had a Billboard number one hit with Kenny Chesney signed with Show Dog Nashville, the successful independent recording label owned by Toby Keith. His single “You First” reminds us of why we are constantly drawn to his songs. To show his support for the troops, he has pledged his artist royalties from the hit single to the Wounded Warriors Project, whose mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors.
Cape Verde artist Ilo will join Mac on the Dino’s stage. Ilo was discovered by Buffet and signed to Buffett’s Mailboat Records. He tours with his American Band and plays with Jimmy Buffett as a special guest.
This is the second year Mac and Dean Bach, owner of Dino’s Lounge, have partnered to support the Wounded Warrior Project, raising over $12,000 during last year’s concert. “This is a great chance to raise money and show our support for our military”, says Dean Bach, a strong supporter of local charities who has helped to raise over $100,000 by hosting charity events at Dino’s Lounge. Bach, a former Marine, jumped at the opportunity to host the benefit along with sponsors Williams Consulting, Webasto Group and Contemporary Imaging Associates. “Dino’s intimate setting will offer guests a rare opportunity to experience Mac & Ilo up close and personal – like a private concert,” says Bach, “and if Jimmy Buffet wants to stop by, we’ll let him in without a ticket.”
