“Back to the Future” of Downtown Ferndale (Event)

(Crystal A. Proxmire, 6/27/2011)

“Back to the Future of Downtown Ferndale” is the topic for discussion at a community open house taking place on Wednesday, June 29 from 5-8pm at Valentine Vodka at 161 Vester.  This free event (with refreshments provided) will give businesses and residents an opportunity to share in the vision of the future along with the Downtown Development Authority (DDA).

“Learn how the past 10 years evolved,  find out what’s going on in right now and have a say in charting the journey for the next 10, 20 or 30 years,” said a recent DDA announcement. “The evening will be casual, informative and essential to Downtown Ferndale’s future.   Be a part of it and discover that you can make a difference in YOUR Downtown.”

Wednesday morning will also be the DDA’s monthly networking opportunity, FernNet. The presentation topic is:  “In Any Event:  How to Make Special Events Work For Your Business.”  The event is free and takes place Wednesday, June 29 from  9 – 10 am at MiChigo pizza at 255 W. 9 Mile.
