Recycle Electronics and Help Children’s Charity

Like everyone, you’re bound to have some e-waste laying around the house. Old computers, accessories, small appliances, all sorts of junk that’s collecting dust but you didn’t want ending up in a landfill. Lots of electronics contain toxic chemicals and heavy metals, and should be disposed of responsibly.

As some of you know, I offer free electronics recycling to my clients. Normally I have to pay to dispose of everything, but it’s a service I consider worth the expense.

An opportunity has come up to recycle stuff for free, and not only that, the recycling company is offering an amazing 65% of the proceeds to the partnered charity, the Pediatric Speech and Language Disorders Scholarship Fund at Beaumont Children’s Hospital.

Simply bring your electronic junk to the C! Tech Solutions office at 2550 Hilton Road in Ferndale from 11AM to 7PM on Wednesday, May 11th. A full list of the acceptable electronic items can be found here.

Any computers or laptops dropped off during that time will receive free data destruction, so you don’t have to worry about your personal and confidential files once the computers head to the recycling center.

If you still have data on the computers and need it recovered, I’m offering a 20% discount off the normal price. The hard drive will be pulled from the computer, put into the data recovery queue, while the rest of the computer contributes to the recycling fundraiser.

If you can’t make it during the Wednesday drop-off at my office, Beaumont will be accepting more items on May 12th from 8AM to 8PM at the Northwood Shopping Mall parking lot at 13 Mile and Woodward. Please note that there won’t be any options for data destruction or recovery at this location as I won’t be on hand.
