Save Money Getting in Shape at the Kulick Center Fitness Studio
(Crystal A. Proxmire, 3/6/2011)
The Kulick Community Center offers residents and nonresidents low cost work out options with their community fitness studio. The studio was renovated in October 2007 to include four treadmills, four elliptical machines, two recumbent cycles, a Smith Machine, a leg press, a five station fitness center and free weights. They also offer exercise tubes, bands, mats, stability balls and Bosu trainers, with plenty of space to stretch and work out.
Traditional gym memberships can cost in the hundreds of dollars, but through the Ferndale Recreation Department, people in the area have a safe, low-cost gym alternative. “We have a few regulars in the mornings,” said Recreation Director Julie Hall, “and it gets a little busy in the evenings. There are people who come on their lunch breaks when it is less crowded.”
