Motor City Pride Seeks Bands and EntertainmentJust 4 Us

(Crystal A. Proxmire, 3/5/2011)

Do you and your band want to be a part of Pride?  The event is being held in Hart Plaza in Detroit this year, and the Motor City Pride organizers are eager to bring together entertainers from throughout the region to make this the biggest Pride ever.

“Since we are doubling the time of the festival, we will be able to provide a very diverse mix of entertainment,” said organizer Dave Wait.  “There will be at least two stages and the dance pavilion.”

The giant annual LGBT celebration will take place June 4-5, 2011, and will feature several musical acts, picnic areas, a family activity space, booths from various organizations, vendors, plenty of good food, and other activities.

Bands, musicians and other entertainers are invited to send in a Media Kit to be considered.  Media kits are due March 10, and must include the following:

Audio Links or CD

B&W Photo

Color Photo

Performance costs (if any)

Bio of performer or group

Contact Name, phone number and email

The kits can be emailed to Dave Wait at dave@equalitymi.org.  They can also be mailed to Motor City Pride, c/o Equality Michigan, 19641 W. 7 Mile Road, Detroit, MI 48219.
