Police looking for green car used in attack

On 02/28/11 at about 4:20 p.m. Ferndale Police responded to a report of a man intentionally struck by a car in the area of Martin and Chestnut. The 21 year old victim said he was walking northbound on Martin near Chestnut when he observed an older (early 1990’s) model, green, Mercury Cougar driving s.b. on Martin. The victim was stepping from the street onto the curb when the Cougar headed toward him. The passenger (w/m, late teens to early 20’s, wearing a white t-shirt and knit hat) opened the car door and struck the victim with the door. The car had about four occupants, all males, some black and some white. The victim suffered minor injuries from the incident.
