Press Release from Patrick Jones, Ferndale Police Department

Ferndale Police are investigating the shooting of a 64 year old man in the Dollar Club Plus Dollar Store located at 2750 Hilton Road near Woodward Heights (9 ½ Mile Road). The incident occurred 11/26/2010 at approximately 9 p.m.

The victim is the owner of the store and was working alone in the store at the time of the shooting.  The victim was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The man was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police are investigating several leads. Police are asking that anyone that was in the area of Hilton and Woodward Heights on Friday night between 8 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to contact the Ferndale Police.
