CAR THIEF WITH DRUGS:
In the early morning hours of Oct. 4th at about 1:10 a.m. Ferndale Police met with a woman who said her car was stolen while she was at the Emory Bar on Woodward in Ferndale. The 51 year old victim said that she believed the thief was 24 year old Paul Spurlock, the son of a long time friend, who she had hired to do odd jobs for her. She and Spurlock went to the bar to watch the victim’s daughter sing at the bar. She was sitting with Spurlock, until he left shortly before 1:00 a.m.. She then noticed her keys missing and her vehicle gone from where she parked it.
The woman said she did not give Spurlock permission to take her vehicle. She knew that he did not have a driver’s license, and that he had a drug habit.
Police began investigating the matter and determined that Spurlock had a suspended license, and misdemeanor warrants out for his arrest. While still at the scene, an officer noticed Spurlock drive the missing vehicle into the public parking lot. Officers arrested Spurlock and then searched him. SUSPCIOUS PROWLER ARRESTED WITH AIRSOFT GUN:
On 10/03/10 at about 5:00 p.m., Ferndale police responded to a report of a suspicious man in peoples yards. Neighbors observed TIMOTHY WILLIAM FRANCEK, w/m, 03/06/79, in a yard on the 1400 block of E. Chesterfield. One of the neighbors

One of the callers said that it looked as if the suspect had a gun in his waistband. Officers spotted the suspect shortly after. The man ran through back yards on Camden. Officers found and caught FRANCEK near W. Muir and West End. They arrested him for trespassing. Officers found that FRANCEK had a look-a-like pistol that shot plastic bb’s in his waist band; the orange toy indicating band was missing. They also found that he had another person’s passport on him – the passport had been reported stolen in a home invasion in Hazel Park.
Warrants were obtained for Francek for:

2.) Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property
