Police Report: Man with Multiple Warrants Attempts to Bribe Officer
(Lt. William Wilson)
Yesterday evening at approx. 5:30 p.m. police acted on information supplied by a citizen that he was just
assaulted by a man who pointed a gun at the informant. He further stated that the suspect was wanted on several warrants. Police verified the information on the warrants (multiple warrants out of Flint for DWLS, Resisting arrest, Failed to yield and possession of Marijuana. Martin also had numerous valid warrants out of the city of Detroit, and found the man was not licensed to drive). Police went to the area of the 600 Block of Pinecrest where the wanted man was supposed to be. Officers arrived in time to see the suspect get into a Windstar and begin to drive away.
Police stopped him and arrested him. They found that he was in possession of marijuana and a substantial amount of cash. After being arrested, the suspect offered to split the cash with the officer, if he would let him go.
