Police Report: Officer Hit by Drunk Driver

One officer was walking across Breckenridge when a Dodge Durango turned from n.b. Woodward onto e.b. Breckenridge. The Durango headed for the officer who signaled and yelled for the vehicle to stop. The Durango continued and struck the officer.

Former Hazel Park Teacher Dies in Car-Bike Crash

A beloved retired Hazel Park High school teacher was struck by a car while riding his bike in Burns Township, and did not survive. 62-year-old Clyde Baker, who often went by CJ, had revved up his interest in both bicycle riding and country singing since taking early retirement from Hazel Park High School in 2003.

Woman Dead from Hit & Run, Driver Encouraged to Contact Police

It appears the driver of the vehicle was not at fault, but still fled the scene. This person who may have panicked should minimize the situation by contacting the Ferndale Police Department at 248-541-3650.
