Ferndale Mayor Melanie Piana gave her annual State of the City Address at the 215 West event venue, surrounded by neighbors, business owners, city staff, and community volunteers.
I view my position as one that strives to improve the quality of life for not only my Ferndale residents but also residents in adjacent cities such as Detroit’s neighborhoods that border 8 Mile.
She spoke with Oakland County Times about what’s happened in those 18 years, what advice she has for the next Commissioner, and where she’ll be focusing her energy next.
