Up to $20,000 is available for projects such as:
Tree inventories and management plans.
Urban forest master plans or strategic plans.
Tree maintenance connected to strategic activities in a plan or tree inventory.
Community outreach or local staff training.
Tree ordinance review and development.
Even after several visits there is still much to explore in this 4,461 acre oasis.

Throughout the month of September, the Michigan Parks and Recreation Foundation is hosting a Virtual 5K (3.1 miles) to raise funds to provide accessible recreation opportunities for parks and programs. You can run, walk, skateboard, bike, or swim a 5K during the month of September!
Residents will be required to wear a mask while visiting the Center during their scheduled appointment time and residency will be verified by attendant.

In the Aug. 4 Democratic Primary voters in Oakland County will chose between incumbent Jessica Cooper and challenger Karen McDonald for Oakland County Prosecutor.
The winner of the primary will then face Lin Goetz who is unopposed in the Republican Primary.
The Primary takes place Aug. 4, 2020. The winner of the Democratic Primary will face Bouchard in the Nov. 3 election.
Here is the list of candidates we were able to interview for the Aug. 4 primary. Our goal is to continue this project up until the Nov. 3, 2020 election so even more can be included.

In the Aug. 4 Primary the Democratic candidates are Tim Burns and R. Kent Cathcart.
In the race for 6th Circuit Court Judge there are three candidates on the ballot plus one write-in, with no incumbents.

Further investigation showed that the suspect earlier broke into an apartment and tried to set a fire by placing flammable items on a stove burner
