Volunteers Needed to Read to Roosevelt Kids Friday

This year’s Celebrity Reading Day is Friday, March 15. But there aren’t enough readers signed up. Principal Dina Rocheleau is hoping to recruit some more people to come in. Bring a children’s book from home, or they have a bunch that you can choose from. It generally takes about 20 minutes.

Free Parking Extended and Rates Reverted for Further Study

Ferndale City Council has voted to extend free parking until March 24th, and to revert rates back to 50 cents per hour until further study can be done on what rates would be appropriate.

Judge Decides To Wait On Adoption, Gay Marriage Decision (video)

“The court believes it could craft an opinion on this matter, but no matter what I did would not satisfy either side,” he said. “Hopefully the Supreme Court will give us some direction. I think it’s important for this case to move forward, but the court believes I should stay a decision until these decisions.”
