Marine Corps League Receives Donation from F’dale Nonprofit

Members of the Marine Corps League voluntarily render assistance to all current and former Marines and to their widows and orphans, and work to perpetuate the history of the Marine Corps by observing the anniversaries of historical occasions of particular interest to Marines.

Beginning Nov. 2, the Ferndale Public Library will launch a three-month program featuring local professors speaking on an area of their expertise. Garden Club Growing Since 1931

Camp Casey Fest in Full Swing, Gracin on at 8:30

Camp Casey Fest is in full swing, but also in full wind. The day-long festival to raise money so that kids with cancer can enjoy time with horses is taking place until 11pm, with plenty of fun, shopping and music. Country music star Josh Gracin is headlining the event, and he is expected to take the stage at 8:30pm.

Registry to collect swabs at Camp Casey Fest

Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation will hold a donor recruitment drive to register potential bone marrow donors for its worldwide registry at Camp Casey Fest. The drive will benefit children who have been diagnosed with cancer. The event, scheduled on October 15 on East 9 Mile between Woodward and Bermuda, will run from 11 AM to 5 PM.
