Ferndale Public Library to Launch “Lucky Day” Collection

To celebrate the launch of the Lucky Day collection, each person who checks out a Lucky Day book on February 14th will be entered into the raffle to win fun prizes. The library will also be giving away tasty treats to enjoy while you devour your book. Librarian Darlene Hellenberg is very excited to reveal the Lucky Day collection to the public.

Christian Mueller Recognized as School Superhero (video)

A school superhero is someone who spends their days reaching out to young people and helping them lean and succeed. The United Way and General Motors recently partnered with the Madison Heights School District, and as part of their grant they are recognizing “School Superheros” like Madison High Assistant Principal Christian Mueller.

TIA Membership Renewed: What They Do For You

At the Jan. 14, 2013 City Council meeting, elected officials voted to renew membership in the Traffic Improvement Association with dues of $5,900 for the year. The renewal came highly recommend by the Police and the Department of Public Works, though the public may not realize what the organization does for the City.

Crashing in Ferndale: Report Shows Accident Rates, Causes and More

2013 Rib Burn Off Rocks the Big Tent (video)

The Annual Rib Burn Off took place Feb. 2 with well over 1,000 people making their way to the big heated tent set up behind Dino’s Lounge. The event raised money for Ferndale Youth Assistance and Michigan AIDS Coalition.
