The victim reported that she was ambushed by Thomas on June 8, 2013 as she exited her 9 Mile apartment. When she walked out of her door to the area near a community laundry, Thomas came out of the laundry room and threw gasoline on her. He then extended out his arm toward her. He was holding a Bic lighter.

Roosevelt Kids are Michigan Kids (video)

One of the songs, “Michigan Kids,” is now stuck in the heads of You Tube viewers throughout the district thanks to a recording by parent Bradford Parks. The song is showing the world that Michigan kids are “good kids” and “great kids,” who come from a state with two peninsulas, four big bridges, and lots of shoreline.

Sales Support Causes in Ferndale

Volunteers came together for two mass yard sales on June 8. The Trunk and Treasure Sale was held in the parking lot of City Hall, where vendors rented tables with the fees going to support Ferndale Recreation. Across the street at FernCare free clinic there was a yard sale of donated items, with proceeds helping provide health care for the needy.
