Orion Township, MI – Orion Township experienced record levels of rain Friday, leading to flooding, road closures, and infrastructure damage.

Orion Township Supervisor Chris Barnett has declared a State of Emergency to help secure funds for repairs. Oakland County Times spoke with the supervisor about common questions residents and business owners have had.  Barnett spoke about the efforts to document and fix the damage, as well as answered questions about trash pick up, road closures, resources for displaced residents and more.

Township Officials are working with Oakland County Road Commission and Oakland County Water Resources to address the challenges on the roads and the lakes, and Orion Township has set up an email for residents and businesses to reach out with questions or to report flood damage – flooding@oriontownship.org.
