Reporter Food: Lion’s Den in Waterford
(Crystal A. Proxmire, July 19, 2021)
Waterford, MI- The Lion’s Den is a great spot in Waterford with a nicely done menu and a space that clearly many locals love. I’ve gotten two meals from Lion’s Den that I’m happy to share with you here on our Reporter Food quest.
The first was Lemon Chicken which came dusted in flour then sauteed in a reduced white wine mushroom lemon sauce served with a side of fettuccine Alfredo. This was served with soft delicious bread sticks and a small side salad dressed up with croutons and salami slices. The housemade Alfredo sauce was creamy and delicious and the chicken was nice and juicy with this buttery lemon sauce.
I’ve also had the Old Lakers Fish Sandwich, featuring hand battered deep fried Icelandic cod on a soft bun with lettuce and tomato and served with french fries. Lion’s Den has a carryout menu of easy favorites, as well as a more in-depth menu for dine-in guests.
Here you’ll find specialties like Oysters Rockefeller, Cowboy Ribeye Steak, Beef Tournedos, Shrimp Scampi and more. For dessert the selections include hot fudge cream puffs, sundaes, and Snickers pie.
Lion’s Den is located at 4444 Highland Road in Waterford. Find their full menu and more information at https://lionsdenrestaurant.com.
