May 11 – Helping Veterans Heal Through Art Virtual Presentation

Rochester Hills Public Library presents
“Take Me Home Huey: Helping Veterans Heal Through Art,” May 11 at 7 p.m.

Rochester Hills Public Library welcomes artist Steve Maloney to discuss his art and his book, Take Me Home Huey, on Tuesday, May 11 at 7 p.m. on the library’s Zoom platform. Maloney reclaimed a Medevac helicopter used during the Vietnam War and turned it into a sculpture. The chopper’s journey and what Maloney learned about connection and healing through art changed his life. Maloney will discuss the sculpture as featured in his book.

This program is open to the public and requires registration to join the live Zoom presentation. For more information and to register, visit calendar.rhpl.org.
