April 5 – Royal Oak Library Hosts Seniors’ Computer College: Closing Your Digital Divide

Whether you are a newbie, tinkerer, or just need tips on how to get the most out of your computer, author and instructor Mike Wilson has you covered. This workshop will include such topics as common computer terms; Windows 10 and apps; the basics of word processing; using email, websites, and the Internet; and transferring cell phone pictures. Prerequisite: know how to use a mouse/touchpad. (This program is for Windows 10 desktops, laptops, notebooks, and 2-in-1 laptops. Not for Mac/Apple computers or other tablet users.)

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. All instructions will be demonstrated by Mike Wilson LIVE in your online classroom.

A built-in camera or webcam

Internet access

A browser like Google Chrome, Firefox or Microsoft Edge

TO ENTER YOUR CLASSROOM simply click on the text sent to your e-mail and you will be a student, viewing your LIVE instructor’s demonstration in our online classroom!

Other Information to Know About:

This will be a group meeting. Students will join our “meeting room”. You will not be seen in the meeting room.

We will attempt to end on the scheduled time, but ending times may vary. Classes rarely will end early, but they may occasionally briefly hold over.

Questions can be asked through the chat line in the meeting room. All students will see questions you ask.

Your Instructor:

Instructor Mike Wilson is an author of five easy-read computer books for adults. He has taught in 40 cities in Michigan over the last 15 years. Mike has trained 1,000s of students with overwhelming excellent comments and ratings! He has taught or currently does teach at colleges, community education centers, and libraries.
