DDA Adds Two New Promotions for Shoppers in Downtown Holly

Holly, MI – Downtown Holly has announced two new promotions to help customers feel rewarded when they shop in the historic village.

“Through March participating DDA businesses are doing a #loveholly Loyalty Card where a customer will get a loyalty card to use in any participating DDA business and when they make a purchase will get a hole punched on their card.  There are spots to be punched for $2, $5, $10 and $20 purchases.  So, if the purchase equals that amount or more they get it punched.   Once they fill up a card with punches they turn it into that business and it will be entered into a drawing for one of 10 $20 gift certificates to their favorite DDA business,” said DDA Director Nick Klempp.

But that’s not all.  They’re also doing a digital promotion with QR codes.

“We are doing a shop to win drawing where customers go into stores and scan the stores QR code to enter into a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to their favorite (or couple favorite) DDA district stores. No purchase necessary to enter, they just need to go to the stores and scan their code and fill out the entry form.   We will be giving away 20 winners each week for 10 weeks.”

Prize money comes from the DDA.  “We want people to spend locally so they can tell us what business they prefer when they win,” Klempp said.

These promotions piggyback on a promotion by the Holly Area Chamber of Commerce called community dollars, where folks can purchase gift certificates and they will get a partial match for their value.

“We have seen a lot of the Community Dollars come through the shop,” said Battle Alley Coffee owner Linda Stouffer.  “Some from regulars but some newcomers too. I think that these programs are great in highlighting the businesses in Holly and I am thankful for the Chamber and DDA for putting them together.”

Jerome Raska co-owns three businesses in Downtown Holly: Blumz by JRDesigns, Holly Antiques, and Creative Fashions.  “We’re excited to be in Downtown Holly and are encouraged by the DDA’s efforts to do marketing that brings people to our historic downtown,” he said.

Downtown Holly is home to a collection of shops, boutiques, restaurants, and other interesting businesses.  Among the places to dine are the Holly Hotel, Andy’s Place, The Holly Café, Red Devil and more.  Shoppers might enjoy stores such as Artichoke Interiors, Winglemire Furniture, Kerton Lumber, and The Vintage Farmhouse.
