Holiday Window Display: From November 28 to January 18, come walk the streets of Downtown Berkley to see all the “winter wonderland” themed window displays. You can also vote for your favorite. Check out the Facebook album for official voting rules.
Shop Small Week: This year it will be a week-long extravaganza! From November 28 (Small Business Saturday) to December 5, YOU could win Downtown Berkley Bucks. Shop either in-person or virtually, email marketing@downtownberkley.com your receipt (including the timestamp) to be entered to win. There will be multiple winners throughout this week.
Merrily We Give: From November 28 to December 31, donations are being collected for Gleaners Community Food Bank at Berkley Common, Sum Girls Boutique, Yellow Door, and the VITRINE Gallery.
Artists Sunday: Dedicated day to shop art and give something handcrafted this holiday season. On November 29, the DDA will be giving one lucky person who shops in Downtown Berkley $150 Berkley Bucks. Please email marketing@downtownberkley.com your receipt (including the timestamp of November 29) to be entered to win.
Cyber Monday: Instead of shopping on Amazon, shop small on November 30. Plenty of our downtown businesses have their own website, and we even have a virtual main street for you to shop today: https://shopyourmainstreet.com/oakland_county/berkley
Shop Main Street: Main Street Oakland County is encouraging everyone to shop local (safely) and this campaign will be for the entire month of December. The DDA will be giving out $750 worth of Downtown Berkley Bucks to select shoppers (purchases can be made in person or online). Please email your receipt (including timestamp) to marketing@downtownberkley.com to be entered to win.
Winter-themed Scavenger Hunt: This socially-distant fun holiday hunt will allow you to explore our downtown on your own terms. This hunt runs from December 1 to February 1, and the first 3 to successfully complete the hunt will receive $50 in Downtown Berkley Bucks.
Holiday Shopping Night Fundraiser: On December 3 from 5 – 9 pm, percentages of all proceeds will go back to Angell Elementary School PTA. Participating merchants include Sum Girls Boutique, Catching Fireflies, Tootie & Tallulah’s, and VITRINE Gallery. CLICK HERE for flyer.
Drive-By Santa Parade: On December 5 from 3 – 7:30 pm, Santa will be driving the streets of Berkley thanks to the Berkley Holiday Lights Parade Committee and the City of Berkley. Residents are encouraged to stand outside from the safety of their front yard or porch and watch Santa float by. the community can tune in virtually at 7:30 PM to watch the Mayor give Santa the key to the City on the following networks: Channel 10 for both Comcast and WOW, Youtube.com/CityofBerkley, www.berkleymich.org/livestream, www.facebook.com/cityofberkley via Facebook Live
Merry and Bright Shopping Nights: These evening shopping nights are similar to our Ladies Night Out events! This 2-evening event will be from 5-8 pm, and there will be digital maps listing all participating businesses that will be open for the evening. On December 10 and 11, make sure to stop by Downtown Berkley for some last minute holiday shopping.
Joyful Music Concert: On December 12 from 3 – 4 pm, join us virtually for some holiday music. Lillian Dean and her musical talent is back again this year! This concert can be viewed on both Facebook and the local Berkley TV channel.
Story Time with Santa: One of our most popular events is back this year with a twist. Santa will virtually come to Berkley on December 19 from 12 – 1 pm to read various holiday stories to children via Zoom.
