Nov. 12 – Huntington Woods Hosting Online Conversation on Racially Restrictive Covenants

Huntington Woods, MI – As part of our ongoing commitment to anti-racism programming, the City of Huntington Woods is presenting a speaker on the topic of racial covenants.

The presentation will be conducted remotely on Thursday, November 12th beginning at 7 p.m.

The speaker is Nancy Welsh who wrote  “Racially Restrictive Covenants in the United States:  A Call to Action.”  Her paper examines the history and structure of racially restrictive covenants in the United States to better comprehend their continued existence, despite their illegality.
