Howe’s Bayou Now Offering Brunch on the Weekends

(Howe’s Bayou, Oct. 23, 2020)

Ferndale, MI –Howe’s Bayou, the popular Ferndale bistro well known for its New Orleans-theme, has expanded its offerings to include brunch with a creative menu that includes both savory and sweet options.

Chef Melissa Kurily and team adapted some of the restaurant’s signature lunch and dinner items for brunch and added new items, including beignets, made fresh daily, a staple in the storied French Quarter; eggs benedict on salmon cakes; shrimp and grits; and lemon and cardamom bread pudding French toast.

“The popularity of brunch in Ferndale and surrounding communities, combined with reduced seating due to COVID, provided a great opportunity to try out something we’ve been thinking about for some time,” said Michael Hennes, proprietor for more than 20 years. “We started with a soft launch late August and we’re getting a great response from our customers.”

According to Hennes, the Howe’s Bayou staff is diligent in practicing the strictest safety protocols. Masks must be worn when not seated at one of the establishment’s socially distant tables. Howe’s also has a spacious outdoor café (weather permitting).  You can enjoy your brunch at Howe’s or take it for carryout.

Brunch is served Saturdays and Sundays, 10:30 am – 3 pm. Howe’s Bayou is located at 22848 Woodward Ave., Ferndale. For more information, call (248) 691-7145 or visit: howesbayouferndale.net.
