Oct. 31 – Book and Boo at Bedford Woods Park, Southfield

Oct. 31 – Book and Boo at Bedford Woods Park, Southfield

The City of Southfield Parks & Recreation Department together with the Southfield Public Library, Southfield Police Department and Southfield Fire Department will present a new Halloween tradition with Book & Boo at Bedford Woods Park located on Lathrup Drive north of Twelve Mile Road (just east of Southfield Road).

Children ages 2-10 and their families are invited to meet characters from a popular Halloween story while safely trick-or-treating along a decorated trail. At the end of the path, each child will also receive a pumpkin to take home. Participants are encouraged to come in costume; however, this is an all outdoor event so please dress accordingly. There are two, one-hour time slots available for families to choose from (1-2 p.m. or 3-4 p.m.) on a first-come, first-served basis. Each time slot will be limited to 80 total participants (children and adults).

Tickets are $5 per person for Southfield residents and $10 per person for non-residents. One adult must be present per family for this event and each person attending must purchase a ticket. There are three convenient ways to purchase tickets:

No indoor restroom facilities will be available; however, porta-potties and hand sanitizing stations will be onsite. For more information, call the Parks and Recreation Department at (248) 796-4620.
