Oct. 17 – Royal Oak Woman’s Club “Save Our Historic Clubhouse” Yard Sale

The Royal Oak Woman’s Club (ROWC) will present a “Save Our Historic Clubhouse” Yard Sale on Saturday, October 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the clubhouse, 404 S. Pleasant St., Royal Oak. Credit cards will be accepted for $10 minimum sales and masks will be required. In case of rain, the sale will take place Sunday, October 18.

“Come join our ladies for a fun yard sale, while helping us raise money to maintain our historic building,” said Club President Sylvia Sopata. “In addition to hundreds of gently used items, visitors can purchase our famous spaghetti sauce, Rada cutlery and engraved commemorative bricks.”

Built in 1839, the clubhouse is the oldest building in Royal Oak and is on the historic registry. During non-pandemic times, the clubhouse is rented for showers, parties, concerts and similar events. As it has been closed for such rentals, ROWC has lost the funding necessary to maintain the building.
