Sept. 20-26 – Madison Heights Restaurant Week

Madison Heights, MI -The City of Madison Heights is proud to announce the launch of its debut Restaurant Week, Sunday, Sept. 20 through Saturday, Sept. 26, offering visitors to participating restaurants specials on both dine-in and carry-out dining options.

Throughout the week, patrons can also enter online contests, by posting their Madison Heights dining experiences on their Instagram, Facebook and Twitter pages using the hashtag #MHRW2020contest, for chances to win $50 dining gift certificates each day the week of the event.

Around 20 restaurants are expected to participate in Madison Heights Restaurant Week — ranging from Vietnamese to Japanese fusion to Lebanese shawarma to gastropub to classic American homestyle cooking. Participants already confirmed for Restaurant Week include: Augie’s Bar and Grill, Boodles, Cadillac Straits Brewing Company, Fuji Buffet, ima, Irish Tavern, Lao Pot, Salvatore Scallopini, Shawarma Castle, The Coach Sports Grille, The Masters Restaurant, and 168 Asian Mart, with more additions to come.

Many restaurateurs have chosen to offer specials as both dine-in and carryout options, to allow guests to choose either a night on the town or a quiet dinner at home. Weather permitting, dining outside may be available at some restaurants.

The city’s leading restaurateurs are excited about the opportunity to show off the diversity of the city’s dining options to people from across Southeast Michigan and beyond.

“What most people don’t realize is that Madison Heights is the most global dining town in Oakland County,” said Ricky Dong, owner of 168 Asian Mart and Fuji Buffet in Madison Heights. “With so many different types of food to offer, the city has something for everyone to enjoy, and we look forward to welcoming them to Madison Heights this September during Restaurant Week.”

Discounts and specials on lunch and dinner entrees, appetizers and more will be part of the offerings during the Madison Heights Restaurant Week. Participating menu specials will be announced on the city’s official Madison Heights Restaurant Week website: www.madisonheightsrestaurantweek.com. New restaurants will be added often leading up to the event, so please visit the site regularly for the latest updates.

This year’s celebration will be the first of many, starting a new tradition for the City of Madison Heights.

“Every year, Restaurant Week will grow, and we chose to launch in 2020 as a way to let guests support local restaurants while in turn enjoying great dining discounts,” said Mayor Roslyn Grafstein. “Madison Heights Restaurant Week will shine a spotlight on the city for the dining town that we are. It’s the best kept secret of the area but we want to share the news of our global diversity for everyone to explore and indulge. ”

For the daily photo contest, diners may submit as many entries as they like during Restaurant Week. Photos posted on individuals’ Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages using the hashtag #MHRW2020contest can be submitted from Sunday, September 20 to Saturday, September 26.
