Aug. 31 – OCHN Hosting Overdose Awareness Day Drive Thru Resource Fair
Pontiac, MI – In partnership with Common Ground, Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) is recognizing Overdose Awareness Day by co-hosting a drive through event for community members seeking information related to the treatment and/or prevention of substance use disorders.
This contact-free event is being held at the resource and crisis center in Pontiac on Monday, Aug. 31. In partnership with Common Ground, a crisis services agency, Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) is recognizing Overdose Awareness Day by co-hosting a drive-thru event for community members seeking information related to the treatment and/or prevention of substance use disorders (SUD).
This contact-free event is being held at the Resource and Crisis Center in Pontiac on Monday, August 31.
As attendees drive-up, they will be handed a bag of informational resources including:
Narcan: Nasal spray that can treat an opioid overdose in an emergency
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Facemasks, gloves, hand sanitizer, etc.
SUD resources brochure: Outlines available treatment/prevention programs
OCHN brochure: List of service providers’ names within OCHN’s provider network
Monday Aug. 31 from 12pm – 2pm Resource and Crisis Center, 1200 N. Telegraph Bldg 32E, Pontiac.
