Birmingham Opens Golf Courses, w/Social Distance Changes

Birmingham, MI – The Governor’s Executive Order 2020-59 enables the community to engage in outdoor recreational activity, such as golf. The City of Birmingham’s Lincoln Hills Golf Course and Springdale Golf Course are open with requirements in place to support public health and safety initiatives by adhering to the “social distancing” requirement by Executive Order 2020-42. Both courses are open daily from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Birmingham’s golf courses operate with a “Park & Play” model created by the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA). Below are temporary measures that align with the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Park & Play Model

1) Drive to the Course

2) Park Your Car

3) Get to and Around the Course (Walking Only)

4) Go Back to the Parking Lot

 

New Rules in Effect:

– Golfers Must Keep a Distance of Six Feet from Each Other – AT ALL TIMES

– Walking Only

– Clubhouse is Closed

– Tee Times Are Required – Call Lincoln Hills at (248) 530-1670, Springdale at (248) 530-1660, or make your tee time online at www.golfbirmingham.org

When Checking In:

– Golfers arrive ten (10) minutes prior to tee time

– Golfers place golf bags in a specific area away from other golf bags

– Golfers stand behind the lines provided to keep a safe distance from others

– Form of payment will be credit and debit cards and will be collected over the phone and online at http://checkin.gallusgolf.com/CheckIn/1228

– Scorecards and Pencils will be available only upon request

Lincoln Hills and Springdale Golf Course offer a quick round of golf for those on the go and are rated as two of the top nine-hole courses in Oakland County. Adaptive Golf Carts are available at both courses. Reservations may be made online or by calling Lincoln Hills at (248) 530-1670 or Springdale at (248) 530-1660.
