Woman Shot Several Times in Ferndale, Police Seek Info, Videos
(Ferndale Police, April 30, 2020)
On April 30, 2020 at approximately 2:15 a.m., Ferndale Dispatch received several 911 calls reporting numerous shots had been fired in the 300 block of West Bennett. All available scout cars were dispatched to the area and upon arrival, officers discovered a 19-year-old Ferndale woman who had been shot several times. Ferndale Fire Rescue also responded to the scene and transported the young woman to Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital where she is being treated for her injuries. Her condition is unknown at this time.
Initial investigation indicates the suspect fired several shots into the home, striking the victim multiple times as she lay in her bed.
At this time, we do not have a suspect or vehicle description. Neighbors who may have observed any suspicious activity or who have home camera systems are encouraged to review any footage that may have been captured from 2:00 to 2:15 a.m. and call us at 248-541-3650 with any information.
