Build Institute, is proud to partner with the City of Ferndale and Incubizo to offer Build Basics: Ferndale.

This class is an 8-week business planning and project development course targeted towards those who live/work in Ferndale, and/or anyone intending to open a business in Ferndale.

BUILD BASICS: Ferndale

Day/Time:  Mondays, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Dates: April 6 – June 1 (No class on May 25)

Location:  Incubizo- 1938 Burdette, Ferndale, MI 48220

Curriculum:  Our curriculum is learner-centered, hands-on and activity based, so you’ll be doing as much as you’ll be listening. At the start of every session, we provide you with a Build binder that includes lessons, resources and a sample business plan for you to fill out as we go.

Money Management & Life Skills

Legal Structures, Licensing & Personal Budget

Personal Credit, Start-up Costs & Overhead

Sales Unit & Break Even Point

Sales and Profit Goals & Cash Flow

Target Markets, Market Research & Mission

Research, Competition, Pricing & Goals

Financing Sources & Loan Process
