Feb 10 & 11 – African American Women and Suffrage Movement at OU and OCC

Royal Oak, Auburn Hills, MI – The #OaklandCounty Board of Commissioners’ Celebration of Women’s Suffrage Ad Hoc Committee, in partnership with Oakland University and Oakland Community College (Official) – Royal Oak Campus, will be hosting a free speaking series on African American Women and the Women’s Suffrage Movement by award-winning author, speaker and educator Michelle Duster.

Ms. Duster is the great granddaughter of Ida B. Wells, an early leader in the civil rights movement.

The events will take place Monday, 2/10 at Oakland University and Tuesday, 2/11 at Oakland Community College Royal Oak Campus.
