Oh Deer: Rochester Police Dash Cam Captures Special 5k Runners
Rochester, MI – Blocking traffic for community events such as the Chill at the Mills 5k is one of the more warm-hearted tasks of the Rochester Police Department.
But Sunday’s race was even more special thanks to some unexpected runners caught on tape. As dozens of human runners were making their way through the streets of Rochester, a pair of deer joined in – with one even jumping over the hood of a patrol car! Video of the en”deer”ing runners was captured by the car’s dashcam and shared on social media.
The 5k race ended at the Downtown Rochester Fire and Ice Festival, though the deer did not stay the course. Check out the Oakland County Time’s Animals/Pets section for more adorable animal stories throughout Oakland County.
