Holiday Gift Ideas: Modern Natural Baby

(Crystal A. Proxmire, orig. Nov. 27, 2019)

Ferndale, MI – Finding gifts for babies and kids can be tough, especially if you want eco-friendly, intelligent options. But thankfully Modern Natural Baby in Downtown Ferndale has a store full of great holiday gift choices.

One corner of the store is floor-to-ceiling games. Another corner has clothing options for babies and toddlers, including locally made shirts that tout living in Detroit. There are swaddling blankets and cloth diapers in dozens of patterns and colors. Plus of course some seasonal items to keep little ones warm, like soft flannel pjs and fuzzy socks.

The selection of toys and games is intentionally full of smart-kid options, like puzzles that show kids from all around the world and robot-themed toys to inspire one’s love of technology. Among our favorites was also a flashcard game that helps children learn emotional literacy, and high quality animal puppets. On the more practical side, there is baby-friendly furniture, strollers, car seats, and kid-approved kitchenware to make mealtimes more fun.

Two particularly cool things are kid-sized ponchos that change color when wet, and a crib-side toy that gently plays Mozart if a baby wakes during the night, lulling it back to sleep.

With thousands of gift ideas in one place, Modern Natural Baby is a great spot to find the perfect kid’s gifts. Visit them at 200 W Nine Mile Rd B, Ferndale, MI 48220 or check them out online at www.modernnaturalbaby.com.

Below are just some of the items available at MNB.
