Dec. 8  – Madison Hts Council Members Hosting Story Time and Crafts at Library

Madison Heights, MI -Join city council members Mark Bliss and Emily Rohrbach for a unique town hall event on December 8th from 2-4pm at our library. With council’s strategic plan and parks/planning master plan process both underway (survey here), our discussion will focus specifically on important quality of life priorities like parks, arts, programming, green-space, and our library. We’ll keep it informal and will lead a creative brainstorm session where everyone in attendance will be able to give their opinions – even if they don’t want to speak in public ;).

This is 100% a family friendly event where kids are encouraged to attend. Mark and Emily will be showcasing the Library’s new Sunday hours by kicking the discussion off with an interactive story time and craft for every child in attendance! Plus, the kids will have their own discussion on what they want to see in the city’s parks, programming, and library!!!

Agenda:
2pm: Kick off and STORY TIME with Council-members Bliss and Rohrbach!
2:30pm: Open DISCUSSION on where we are and what we should do
3:30pm: Summary and Q&A

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to make your voice heard! Quality of life initiatives are the lifeblood of our community, and the next few months of planning will determine what Madison Heights will look like in 5 years. Mark and Emily invite you to come out on December 8th and be a part of the discussion. Also, why not come early, bring the kids/grandkids, and hear them read a children’s book?
