Ferndale Upper Elementary Kids Get Mini Med School Experience

Ferndale Upper Elementary Kids Get Mini Med School Experience

(Ferndale Schools, Nov. 7, 2019)

Ferndale, MI- The Mini-Medical School Assembly came to Ferndale Upper Elementary (FUEL) recently with the help of over 40 medical student volunteers. The program is sponsored by the Michigan Osteopathic Association and Michigan Health Council.

Students experienced 8 centers, including information about bones, teeth, internal organs, exercise, healthy eating, checkups and more.

Students who attend these assemblies increase their medical knowledge and are more likely to go into the medical field for a career. Each student got to “graduate” the mini-medical school!

Special thanks to our Ferndale Elementary PTA for making it happen!
