Farmington Hills Police Investigating Fires at Fairmount Park Apts.

Farmington Hills, MI – The Farmington Hills Police Department is investigating two fires that appear to be set intentionally at the Fairmont Park Apartments located on 9 Mile between Drake and Gill Road.  The first fire occurred on Friday, October 18, 2019 at approximately 8:24 PM where a parked vehicle was burned.  The second occurred on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at approximately 8:08 PM in a vacant apartment.  In both cases the small fires were extinguished quickly and no injuries were reported.

The police department is working with the management team at the apartment complex and is asking residents in the area to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.  Residents are encouraged to call 911 in case of an emergency or contact the Police Command Desk at (248)871-2610 with information regarding this investigation.

Detectives are actively investigating these reports and officers will be conducting increased patrols in the area.
