Oct. 27 – Troy Church Hosting Panel with LGBTQ and Faith Community

Please join us on a “Journey to Understanding and Compassion” from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019, at St. Thomas More Church, 4580 Adams Road, Troy, MI.

The mission of the Committee is to promote the common good through educational opportunities and outreach programs based on Catholic Social Teaching. Pope Francis said that just hearing isn’t enough; Communication means listening and acceptance, and that we should express God’s compassion, tenderness and forgiveness for all.

Sponsored by the South Oakland Vicariate Justice and Peace Committee and Neighbors in Faith, panelists from the LGBTQ community and family members will share their personal stories followed by a question and answer period.

The event is free and light refreshments will be served.
