Sept. 14-15 – Birmingham Street Art Fair to Benefit Common Ground

Common Ground’s Birmingham Street Art Fair returns to Downtown Birmingham and back into Shain Park, September 14-15.

Approximately 150 juried artists will be featured to officially kick off fall, representing a diverse array of art mediums, including ceramics, painting, photography, glass, jewelry, sculpture, drawing, printmaking and more. There will be free, hands-on children’s art activities at this year’s event where kids will have the chance to create their own art to take home.  Additionally, attendees will find a silent auction tent filled with beautiful artwork which will directly benefit Common Ground.

Common Ground is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping teens, young adults and families move from crisis to hope. Common Ground offers several crisis management options, such as mental health and anxiety services, substance abuse disorder programs, a 24/7 resource and crisis hotline, a text and chat crisis hotline and programs for runaway homeless youth.  September is National Suicide Prevention Month.

More than 80,000 people are expected to attend the weekend event.
