Aug 20 – Ferndale Library Courtyard Concert: Ronny Tibbs

Ferndale, MI- The Ferndale Library often transitions into being a concert venue for local artists, and the Summer Concert Series consistently draws the most music lovers. Artists like Joe Hertler, Ronny Tibbs, and the Aston Neighborhood Pleasure Club, will be performing in the library courtyard, on Tuesday evenings (June 18, July 16, August 20) at 6:30pm.

This series of monthly performances is an ideal way for music fans and families to spend a summer evening. Each year, with support from the Friends of the Ferndale Library, the Summer Concert Series gives library visitors the opportunity for all ages to experience music and culture from an eclectic mix of Michigan artists, arranging a zesty range of genres and styles.

Our final Summer Concert of the series features Ronny Tibbs. Ronny Tibbs’ busted beach-pop songs spark recollections of doo wop’s otherworldly despair, a dose of satire and a hint of crooning– positive possibilities exude from the songs. Helmed by the singer/songwriter, filmmaker, producer & onetime troubadour Ronny Tibbs, laid-back style is interwoven throughout compelling songwriting and vocals.

Our Summer Concert Series is back! Thanks to the support of the Friends of the Ferndale Library and the money raised from our biannual bake sales, the Library is delighted to bring you three amazing Michigan musical acts! These shows are free, and weather permitting, held in our beautiful courtyard. Join us for a magical summer of music and fun in the sun.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the concerts will be held in our Community Room.
