Aug. 17 – Auburn Hills Library’s First Annual Art in the Hills Art Show Reception

Auburn Hills, MI- From July 20-August 17, works from local artists will be on display at the Auburn Hills Public Library for the Library’s first annual Art in the Hills Art Show.

Artists of all experience levels are encouraged to submit their work for consideration. Prizes will be awarded for the top artists in both professionally judged and people’s choice categories. Artists must have a digital or print submission form completed before their work can be accepted for installation.

An art show reception will be held at the Library on August 17 from 2-5 PM, where winners will be announced and the public will have an opportunity to connect with the artists.

The show is sponsored by the Friends of the Auburn Hills Public Library. Adult Services Assistant Victoria Phelps is overseeing the event.

“We’re excited to see a wide variety of artwork in this show to represent the diverse community surrounding Auburn Hills,” Phelps said. “For some, this will be the first time their artwork is on display. For others, it will be one of many art shows. We’re seeing all sorts of artistic mediums and subjects, too, which is energizing for everyone involved.”
