Aug. 11 – Birmingham Farmers Market Corn Festival

Birmingham, MI – The Birmingham Farmers Market’s most popular event, the Corn Festival, is scheduled for Sunday, August 11 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. In addition to fresh Michigan sweet corn, attendees will enjoy games, special crafts, demonstrations and old-fashioned corn shelling. Enjoy fresh prepared corn dishes including roasted corn, corn bread and other homemade recipes. The day’s top seller will be fresh roasted Michigan sweet corn with plenty of toppings provided by My Garden Produce.

Attendees will see and pet a variety of farm animals including goats, sheep and chickens, courtesy of Bowers School Traveling Farm. The event will also feature the following food trucks: Ned’s TravelBurger, Franks Etc. and Little Donut Factory.

The Birmingham Farmers Market proudly features exclusively Michigan-grown produce and is subject to Michigan growing patterns. It offers a hometown experience that’s fun for all ages, with fresh prepared foods, live music, a children’s craft area and more. Throughout the season more than 60 booths feature a diverse array of locally and regionally grown produce, including: vegetables, fruits, flowers and garden plants, spices, eggs, honey, jams, fresh meat, poultry, soaps, dog treats, baked goods, hand-crafted and decorative items.

The Birmingham Farmers Market is located at 660 North Old Woodward, across from Booth Park.
