Ferndale Police Suspect Homicide in Lily Camara’s Death

Ferndale Police Suspect Homicide in Lily Camara’s Death

(Ferndale Police, July 7, 2019)

Ferndale, MI- As a follow-up to a missing person alert that the Ferndale Police sent out on July 5, the Ferndale Police Department was informed today that a body has been located and positively identified as Lily Camara. There are strong indications that Camara is a victim of homicide. This situation is not indicative of an increased threat to the safety of the citizens of Ferndale at this time.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Miss Camara. In the coming days we will work collaboratively with our law-enforcement partners to determine what happened and bring those responsible to justice. This is an open and active investigation; no further statements will be made so as not to just jeopardize this investigation.

If you have any information in the homicide of Lily Camara or if you know the whereabouts of her 2017 black Ford Edge, Michigan plate DQX9931, contact the Ferndale Police Department at 248-541-3650, option 5 or Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAK UP.
