Oak Park Police Searching for Homicide Suspect

Oak Park, MI- Oak Park Police are searching for 23-year-old Devante Bailey who is suspected of fatally shooting his brother-in-law in the 13400 block of Burton. According to police he left the area on foot and does not have access to a vehicle.

Police searched the area unsuccessfully.  City Manager Erik Tungate posted on Facebook “We are aware of an alleged homicide situation that has occurred in Oak Park.

“At this point, we are advising all residents to act with high awareness of their surroundings and proceed with caution. We are not suggesting a shelter-in-place notice at this time.

“As always, in an emergency, call 9-1-1. For non-emergencies, call (248) 691-7520.”
