Ferndale Artist Creates SHEROES Coloring Book, on Kickstarter Through May 31

(The Brave Wimp, May 24, 2019)

Ferndale, MI- The Brave Wimp, based in Ferndale, is celebrating SHEroes with the release of a female-powered coloring book.

If you find yourself asking “but what is a SHEro?” a SHEro is a woman admired for her courage or outstanding achievements; a heroine.

The Brave Wimp celebrates these women looking towards a more inclusive future. The campaign set to raise capital for this project is live through May 31 at 12:00am est.

Through the campaign people can preorder print or digital download editions of the coloring book, as well as stickers of a limited number of SHEroes.

Included in the coloring book are important and monumental women including Ruth Bader-Ginsberg, Beyoncé, Ellen Degeneres, America Ferrera, Michelle Obama, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, and Oprah Winfrey.

Melissa Haimowitz Clouse (aka The Brave Wimp) said “SHEROES OF OUR TIME was born out of the desire to see representation and diversity in all aspects of life. Growing up I knew I could be anything I dreamed of but never saw myself represented in the women on television or in politics. As an adult these women inspire me everyday and it’s my hope they inspire girls and other women to dream bigger than we ever thought possible.”
