Ferndale, MI – Construction on “The dot” – a mixed use parking deck with ground level retail – has been going on since February, with the bulk of the work thus far being to remove dirt for the foundation.

“The team at Colasanti has been able to work through much of this rainy season, and have steadily put us in a position to be out of the ground by mid-June,” said City Manager Joe Gacioch.  The most challenging part of this job is the excavation of almost 30 feet below grade to accommodate foundations and the basement level of parking. We are thrilled to be able to watch beams go vertical this summer and inch us closer to a ribbon cutting.”

Construction is supposed to run through May 2020.  For the most detailed and up to date information visit the Downtown Ferndale website’s dot page.
