July 4 – Oak Park Youth Assistance Pancake Breakfast, Parade, Fun in Park and More!

(Oak Park Mayor Marian McClellan)

Oak Park, MI- Your Oak Park Youth Assistance Board is working hard upgrading our Independence Day Pancake Breakfast Extravaganza! Only $6 for adults, $2 for kids!

As usual, it’s from 9:00 AM to 11:00 at the Shelter in Shepherd Park.

But this year, we’re adding lively music, balloons, more food choices, and a Tin Can Auction. I have my eye on the Instant Pot, but kids will want the Lego box. Donations are welcome. Proceeds from the event send kids to OP Recreation Camp.

Plan to be there to support our kids.

Here’s what else is going on in Oak Park that day:

Lots of other events for a full day of fun starting at 8:30 with the Mayor’s Race, then the Pancake Breakfast from 9:00-11:00. Then we get a good seat for the Annual Independence Day Parade from 11:00-12:00 followed by Fun in the Park – vendors, pony rides, petting zoo, bounce houses and loads more.

You are cordially invited to join us on Monday, July 4 for our annual Fourth of July celebration. Activities include:

1) Mayor’s 5K Race – Check-In and Register 7-7:45 a.m./Race at 8 a.m. in the Oak Park Recreation Parking Lot;
2) Youth Assistance Breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. in Pavilion One in Shepherd Park;
3) Parade begins at 11 a.m. at McLain and Coolidge and travels Oak Park Boulevard to Church Street and into Shepherd Park;
