Requesting petitions does not always mean that the person is going to run. There is the possibility that they will fall short in collecting signatures, or otherwise be disqualified. Or they may simply decide not to.
Each Candidate needs 200 signatures no more than 400 in order to make it on the ballot.
The filing deadline is Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. EST. Those who want to run may pick up petitions and more information at the City Clerk’s office at 26000 Greenfield.
There are four city council seats on the ballot for the Nov. 5, 2019 election. Currently those seats are held by Brightwell, Fracassi, Frasier, and Morris who have all pulled petitions.
