Driver Suffers Serious Injuries in Crash on 14 Mile

Clawson, MI – At 12:43am Clawson officers were dispatched to the area of 14 Mile and Florence on the report of a single vehicle traffic crash. At this point the investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling westbound on 14 Mile and drove out of the westbound lane, and struck the pedestrian crosswalk pole in the center turn lane area. The driver was ejected during the crash.

The driver was transported to Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital. The driver suffered serious injuries during the crash. Alcohol appears to have played a role in the crash.

Clawson officers were assisted at the scene by Troy Police Department officer and members of the South Oakland County Crash Investigations Team.

The driver’s information will not be released at this time, and the case remains under investigation
