“Not in my (Ferndale) Backyard” Talk on Racially Coded Language Jan. 30

“Not in my (Ferndale) Backyard” Talk on Racially Coded Language Jan. 30

Ferndale, MI – The Ferndale Inclusion Network (FIN) invites the public to attend their Quarterly meeting on January 30, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ferndale Area District Library (222 E. 9 Mile Rd.).  The meeting’s topic is “Not In My (Ferndale) Backyard?”

In conversations involving housing, schools, and neighborhoods, it’s common for racially coded language to be used. FIN’s discussion will focus on brainstorming ways to respond to and “decode” the language.

FIN is a network of people and groups in Ferndale, Michigan, intent on building a more diverse and inclusive community. Follow our activities on Facebook: www.facebook.com/FerndaleForAll/
